No clean water. The Amazon is on fire. Legal residents of the United States are being deported. Students with valid visas, who have friends who may have written something that a subjective observer deems is anti-American, find themselves being sent back to their home countries, and if they cannot afford the ticket, they are barred from entering the country for five years.
Families are separated, and women are forced to give birth in jail cells with no medical treatment.
These wrongs are being done in our names.
Well, not in mine. I, along with many of my brothers and sisters in the struggle for justice, stand to declare that these actions directly contradict the message that our savior, Jesus said. Love your neighbor as yourself. Help the less fortunate. Take care of children.
We must do something! NOW!!!
